Description: The project provides safe shelter, formal and remedial education, counseling, comprehensive healthcare including immunization, nutritious meals, hygienic toilet facility as well as creative and recreational opportunities to the children of female sex workers.
Services: Residential facilities for children of sex workers, complete support for formal school education, support for continuing college/university education, support for job/self-employment oriented vocational training, remedial education, complete healthcare facilities for sex workers and their children, food and supplementary nutrition for all children and PLWHA, various recreational and therapeutic activities and individual and family counseling and guidance.
Goals: The object of this program is to empower women engaged in the sex trade to negotiate safe sex and break free from the bondage of brother owners and pimps, prevent intergenerational prostitution by counseling and alternate livelihood options, and to bring male children of female sex workers into mainstream social and economic life by providing formal education as well as job oriented vocational training and allied services.
Volunteer opportunities: There are both short and long term volunteering and internship opportunities to students of social work, law, development studies, nursing, pedagogy, international cooperation and photography.
