Children’s Hope India (CHI) recently inaugurated its first all-girls English medium secondary school in Bhopal India on Monday, March 5, 2018: the Children’s Hope India Girls School (CHIGS).
It was a silver jubilee fit for royalty as nearly 500 guests from the Tri-State area celebrated 25 years of Children’s Hope India (CHI), and the organization’s mission to transform the lives of underprivileged children.
Children’s Hope India’s teen leadership group, CH3, held its annual walk-a-thon on Sunday, September 17th at Eisenhower Park where they raised a record amount of money to send underprivileged children from local Long Island shelters to summer camp.

250 women turned up for a fabulous Spring Luncheon at Swan Club in Long Island organized by Children’s Hope India to support the children living in homeless shelters in New York City.
Life-size peacocks, filigreed gold pillars and small pools of rose petals and lotuses—a little piece of Kashmir was recreated at our “Evening in Kashmir” gala at Chelsea Piers in Manhattan on October 12. Guests even got a chance to saunter near the iconic Dal Lake—in spirit at least—as they posed for family photographs before this famous body of water.
This Dusshera the Goddess Durga herself descended to earth in a powerful tableaux at the Children’s Hope India Gala – Viva Calcutta on October 13, 2013. Over 430 guests who came to this fundraiser for children’s health and education at Pier Sixty in Chelsea Piers, New York, saw this breath-taking 200 1b idol seated in a pandal of radiant hues of red, gold and orange.
A day of celebration indeed as it was not only Dusshera and the last day of the Bengali Puja holidays but also an evening to enjoy the seductive charms of the city of Calcutta, now known as Kolkata. The festive evening, which had a keynote address by Indra Nooyi, Chairman and CEO of PepsiCo, raised $450,000 for CHI projects.
