Children’s Hope India is educating children in the community of Gandhi Nagar Bhopal and the surrounding villages.

About Gandhi Nagar: On the outskirts of Bhopal this suburb has a population of about 60,000. It is is surrounded by 40 villages each with a population of 5,000-6,000. The primary livelihood of people here is agriculture, hawkers, peons, household help and menial jobs. Most people here live below the poverty line. The average monthly income begin Rs. 5000 to Rs. 10000 a month (approximately $60 to $125 a month).

Your donation of $250 will enable a child to attend school and continue their education preventing dropouts for financial reasons. 

Program Details

How is the money used?
Educational expenses will cover the following:

  • School fees
  • Textbooks, supplies, calculator, stationery
  • Uniform and sweater
  • Medical support
  • Daily mid-day nutritious meal

What does CHI provide donors?

  • Details of the child and photograph
  • “Day in the life” video
  • Annual progress report
  • Guided on-site visit, if desired

How are children enrolled?
Our volunteer team surveys under served areas of Bhopal and identifies children needing education — irrespective of caste, color or creed. We enroll them depending on the amount of funds available.
