CHI’s mission is to help children progress from poverty to prosperity. We believe that ‘Every Child Counts’ and deserves a chance at a brighter future.
Our Annual gala is the organization’s major source of funding, enabling us to impact the education, health and vocational training of several thousand children each year. This year, you can join other leaders and philanthropists and become an “Educate India” sponsor. Educate India We are delighted to honor Prakash Melwani, Senior Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer of Private Equity at Blackstone, with our Lotus Award, and Dr. Manjul Bhargava, Professor of Mathematics at Princeton University who has been working with the government and non-profit organizations in India to make math fun for underprivileged children, with the CHI Making a Difference Award.
Through this year’s theme “Educate India” that Prakash has helped initiate, CHI will bring this essential building block for a strong foundation to several thousand more children. We will launch mobile schools in remote slums, introduce technology to bridge the gap and expand our educational initiatives in new locations to reach the underserved segments of our society.
