Right now, impoverished children are in even greater need as the COVID-19 outbreak not only threatens their health but their family’s economic security. That’s why Children’s Hope India has launched a food distribution program for children in key locations.
In Jodhpur, CHI-UJAS Asha Kendra works with hundreds of refugee families who have fled religious extremism in Pakistan only to meet further challenges in India. Today the regional government lacks funding for food aid, creating an emergency situation for the refugees.
Children’s Hope India has provided 1,300 families with a 10-day supply of food that includes flour, oil, pulses, sugar, and other essentials.
